The Atlanta Thrashers are no more, having been sold and relocating to Winnipeg.
But there was a time last year when the makeup of this team made history in the NHL. In a league with few black players, the Thrashers were on of the most diverse teams in the National Hockey League.
This is a league working to diversify their rosters and fan base, even as some of their star players of color endure ugly racist comments from fans.
